We’re Committed to Doing Our Part
As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, thousands of women are affected by this disease, but with the advancement of research and support, more and more women are beating it. While breast cancer awareness is always on our minds and deserves year-round, daily attention, we believe that setting aside one month a year to focus solely on breast cancer can allow for great things to happen.
We at Tom Moffett Plumbing find Breast Cancer Awareness Month to be particularly important because it’s an issue that is near and dear to us, and we so badly want to do our part to help find a cure. For the past six years, we have dedicated our time to doing what we can to help raise awareness as well as funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
If you schedule an appointment with Tom Moffett Plumbing during the month of October, you’ll find that our technicians will not be in their usual red uniform. Instead, they’ll be dressed in pink! But it doesn’t stop there. We also donate $5 from every service call throughout the entire month. When you think of Tom Moffett Plumbing, think: Plumbers in Pink.
If breast cancer is an issue that’s important to you and you’d like to take part in raising awareness or even raising funds, check out any of the organizations below. What’s great is that there are so many ways you can get involved, whether it’s through taking part in a 5K, volunteering, fundraising, etc. Local and national events take place every year; see what your community is doing to help provide support and aid to those suffering from this disease. And remember: no act is too small.
